Privacy Policy.

We take privacy seriously and collect only what we need to deliver the platform and issue credentials you can trust. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details — your name and email.
• Learning progress — lessons viewed, assessment attempts and outcomes, credentials earned.
• Payment records — handled by Stripe. We store transaction metadata (tier, amount, status) but never see or store your card details.
• Credentials and verification tokens — stored so that you, employers, and the public can verify a credential at its public verification URL.

How we use it

• To deliver lessons, track progress, and issue credentials.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To improve the product — anonymised aggregates help us see what's working.
• To send essential account and product communications.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on trAIned. servers. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their own policy.

Public verification

Each credential has a verification token that resolves to a public page showing the holder's name, the credential tier, and the issue date. This is the point of the credential — it's intended to be shareable and verifiable by third parties.

Your rights — GDPR and POPIA

We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your data at any time from your account page.

To delete your account and associated data, email support@ai-trained.com. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. Note that revoking or deleting credentials means their public verification page will no longer resolve.

Data retention

We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active. Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law.
